The Maverick Academy is part of the award winning, not-for-profit charity the Maverick Theatre Company. Launched in 1994, Maverick has produced hundreds of shows at all levels and is dedicated to increasing access to the arts - particularly theatre. The company has disrupted many theatrical conventions and in October 2020 launched the world’s first Diploma in Creative Producing For Theatre And Live Events - led by producer Nick Hennegan and offering MA level tuition in an accessible, part-time, 14 week course, using top, world-beating professional producers and practitioners as lecturers. For more information on the course, please see
